No ruler needed. Point your laser tape, jot it down and your done. Glad I bought them and should have had one sooner. People have noticed the Sketch-it and commented. I passed along the e-mail address.

As an adjuster, I sketch floor layout and roof plans every day. I like the fact that this product is made into the clip board. However, previous versions I have had seem to have had deeper, heavier grid lines that made draw straight lines easier. I would recommend a heavier model. If you offer one, let me know so I can place an order.

I found this clipboard the most useful tool in the last two years. I used this board to draw roofs to estimate and was able to detail everything on the roof for parts detail. Drip edge, gable trim, valleys, dormers, skylights, etc. this was most useful for metal roofing layouts. I love this board!

Great tool for jobsites!

This is so great for me as I cannot draw a straight line and now I can
sketch at the jobsite without apologizing for my drawings.
I bought them as gifts for some of my contractors/designers, as well. I only have one small request, they could have extended the graph at the bottom so it extends just beyond the 11.5" paper so
you do not have to try and scoot the paper up to see the graph lines. In any case, well worth the price!

This is a useful product for anyone having to do sketches on the go, its a shame that postage cost so much to send to the UK, it cost as much as the actual clipboard! Buy two and get one...
